Man gets jail for robbery

CHANDIGARH: A local court has awarded three-year jail to a resident of Sector 25 for robbery and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on him. On September 11, 2014, a case was registered against Krishan Kumar and two other juveniles.

A local court has awarded three-year jail to a resident of Sector 25 for robbery and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on him. On September 11, 2014, a case was registered against Krishan Kumar and two other juveniles. A complaint was registered by an army man, Surjeet Singh, who was on his way from the Sector 17 bus stand to Sector 8. When he reached the Sector 8 gurdwara at 5:15 am, some unknown persons standing near an auto approached him and attacked him with sticks. They snatched his carry bag, which had his uniform, a mobile phone, some money and his ID card besides some documents. After this, they escaped in the same auto. Eventually, the police managed to nab them from Sector 11 on the same day.
