Man held for posing as MC inspector

Chandigarh, June 12

A Hallo Majra resident, who posed as a Municipal Corporation Inspector, was arrested for duping a man of Rs2,000 for providing a street vendor licence in Chandigarh.

According to the police, complainant Kuldeep Singh of Sector 30 alleged Ajit Singh approached him as MC Inspector. The accused assured the complainant that he would provide him street vendor license. The complainant paid Rs2,000 to the accused who in return gave a computerised copy of the license. The complainant later checked the license and found fake.— TNS
