Man held for stalking, sexual harassment

CHANDIGARH:A 35-year-old man who was in an inebriated condition was arrested for allegedly stalking and sexually harassing two women at IT Park here on Saturday.



Chandigarh, February 18

A 35-year-old man who was in an inebriated condition was arrested for allegedly stalking and sexually harassing two women at IT Park here on Saturday.

The accused has been identified as Kapil Fotedar, a resident of Sector 115, Kharar, Mohali.

The police said the victims were coming from Zirakpur in a car after attending a party when the accused started following them in his car from Zirakpur.

Both victims noticed the accused and tried to speed up their car near Kishangarh Chowk at IT Park when the accused overtook them and stopped their car. The police were informed about the incident following which police teams rushed to the spot. The accused was nabbed at the spot while misbehaving with both victims.

The police said the medical examination of the accused confirmed that he was drunk at the time of the incident.

A case under Sections 354-A, 354-D and 34 of the IPC has been registered against the accused. He was produced before a court which sent him to judicial custody. — TNS
