Man jumps in front of train, dies

Zirakpur: A man in mid-30s allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a train on the Ambala-Kalka railway track here on Sunday. The deceased is yet to be identified.

A man in mid-30s allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a train on the Ambala-Kalka railway track here on Sunday. The deceased is yet to be identified.

According to GRP sources, they received information around 12.30 pm that a body was lying on the railway track. No suicide note was recovered from the spot, said GRP officials.

The police rushed to the spot and took the body into their possession. The sources said the body had been kept in a mortuary at the Civil Hospital, Dera Bassi, for identification.

A tattoo is embossed on the victim’s arm. The sources said they were trying to find out the 

reason behind the victim’s suicide.
