Man robbed of mobile, purse

A 29-year-old man was allegedly attacked with a knife and robbed of his mobile phone and purse on Sunday night near Baltana, Zirakpur. According to police sources, the victim, Leh Raj, a resident of Yamunanagar, was strolling near the Baltana traffic lights when some unidentified miscreants intercepted him and attacked him with a knife. The accused managed to flee. The victim was rushed to the PGI, Chandigarh, where he is undergoing treatment. The police are yet to record the statement of the accused. The matter is under investigation.
