A customer got an elderly Pinjore shopkeeper engaged in discussion and took away Rs 9 lakh that was kept in the cash counter of his shop. The police have lodged an FIR in this regard and started investigation.
According to information, Rajesh Khanna runs Khanna provision store in the main market of Pinjore. On April 15, when he had gone home for lunch, his father Satpal Khanna was there in the shop. In the meantime, a customer came there and inquired about Rajesh Khanna. He asked about the rates of different items. As Satpal Khanna was busy in showing him items, he came close to cash counter and took out a packet and ran away from there.
Rajesh later told the police that there was Rs 9 lakh in the packet, which he had kept for making payment of a plot. Sukhbir Singh, SHO, Pinjore police station, said they had lodged the FIR.
