MBA in media studies at varsity

Patiala: The Centre for Advanced Media Studies (CAMS) ,Punjabi University, will be starting Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Media Studies and Entertainment from the next academic session. The varsity will also introduce a course in Hospitality Management. The students would have an option of completing the second year in India or abroad.

City school gets new director

Sukhbir Inder Gill, alumni of Modern Senior Secondary School, has been appointed as the Director of the Mayfair Nursery School, the pre-school of Modern Senior Secondary School. Gill has worked as the head of Yadavindra Public School’s pre-school for 28 years. She promised to model effective strategies that will promote a positive school culture.

Workshop  

The Post Graduate Department of English, Cultural Studies and Foreign Languages at Khalsa College organised a workshop on research methodology. Former Director of Centre for Diaspora Studies Punjabi University Dr Tejinder Kaur and HoD English Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Dr Swaraj Raj delivered lectures on the fundamentals and insights of research. On the occasion Dr Kaur said, “One has to become resourceful through intensive reading.” TNS
