A cultural and award ceremony was organised by Sood Sabha in the auditorium of the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) here.
State Health and Parliament Affairs Minister Brahm Mohindra was the chief guest. He was awarded for his contribution towards the welfare of residents of the state.
Over 60 students from 12 schools received school uniform and stationery items. Palak Sood, a student of BTech, who topped Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, received a gold medal. Several
other personalities were also awarded.
Brahm Mohindra expressed gratitude and said Sood Sabha doing social service was a matter of pride for all Punjabis, adding that the sabha was committed to serve society.
Later, principal Arun Kumar Sood, general secretary of the sabha, read the annual report of the sabha.
