Panchkula, April 19
Another incident of a minor’s rape was reported from Pinjore in Panchkula district on Thursday. The minor victim, who was raped by her neighbour, was found to be about six weeks pregnant.
The victim’s mother used to work as a maid in different houses. In her absence, her children — 15-year-old daughter and 13-year-old boy — stayed at home. On Thursday, her daughter complained of pain in the body. She took her daughter to the Kalka Civil Hospital, where doctors told her that her daughter was pregnant.
On being asked, the victim told her mother that their neighbour, Krishan, used to come home and lured her brother outside the house with a mobile game.
The accused raped the victim three times. On a complaint of the victim’s mother, the accused was booked under the POCSO Act and Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
Later in the evening, the police arrested the accused, who will be produced in the court on Friday.
