The police booked nine persons for duping a Sector 69 resident of Rs 60 lakh in a land fraud case. Complaint Jaskaran Singh, alleged that the accused struck a deal with him for sale of over 12.5-acre land. The deal was struck at Rs 1.42 crore per acre. The police have now booked Gurjinder Singh, Sajan Singh, Ranjit Singh, Kashmir Singh, Narinder Kaur, Jaswinder, Gurpreet Singh, Jatinder and Karamjit for criminal breach of trust, cheating and forgery. —TNS
