As the ASI who duped six persons on the pretext of giving them jobs is in hospital, the police are waiting for him to recover so that he can be arrested. The accused, Sanjiv Kumar, gave Anmol, Harjit Sharma, Achchar Chand, Gurjan Singh, Davinder Kumar and Satinder Kumar fake appointment letters and took Rs 28 lakh from them.

The medical examination of the victims was done and they had even started working with the wireless cell of the Punjab Police six months ago.

The fraud came to light when the victims approached the senior authorities to know why their salary was delayed. When records were checked, it was found that it was a fraud. TNS
