Chandigarh, December 11

The bail application of two brothers, who were booked on the charge of thrashing policemen at the IT Park here on Friday, has been dismissed by a local court.

One of them has also been booked in a separate sexual harassment case. Sahil Kohli and Saumil Kohli, officials of an IT firm, were arrested after a video in which they were purportedly seen thrashing two policemen came to the fore.

The duo was booked for abducting the policemen, while Sahil was also booked for outraging the modesty of a Patiala resident, with whom he allegedly had an affair and was supposed to get married.

The defence argued that the policemen on duty allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh, of which Sahil had a video recording in his phone. To cover up the same, the police at the IT Park police station allegedly got into an argument with the accused and hit them.

The sexual harassment case was filed under Section 164 of the CrPC by a girl who worked at the same IT firm here today.
