The Federation of Sectors Welfare Association Chandigarh (FOSWAC) has urged the Municipal Corporation to have nodal officers in each sector.
Members said in case of a complaint pertaining to any department under the MC and the UT Administration, the nodal officers should coordinate to get the issue resolved.
FOSWAC chairman Baljinder Singh Bittu said though the corporation was trying to improve sanitation, there was a scope for improvement. The corporation should involve the RWAs to coordinate with health officials. A duty roaster of sanitary inspector and sanitation workers with their names, mobile numbers and duty hours should be displayed at prominent places in all sectors. He also raised the issues of stray dog menace. TNS
