CHANDIGARH: Nearly 100 passengers were left stranded and staged a protest against the railway authorities after they failed to board the Amritsar-Saharsa Jansadharan Weekly Express.

Nearly 100 passengers were left stranded and staged a protest against the railway authorities after they failed to board the Amritsar-Saharsa Jansadharan Weekly Express. The passenger said they were waiting for train, which was scheduled to arrive at 11 pm on Monday night but it reached the railway station at 5 am on Tuesday morning. Due to heavy rush, the passengers could not board the train. The passengers intensified their protest as they were denied the refund of the tickets. Congress leader Shashi Shanker Tiwari also joined the protesters. Later, some railway authorities managed to persuaded the protesters.
