Patient jumps to death at GMCH

CHANDIGARH: A 60-year-old patient at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, reportedly committed suicide today by jumping from the fifth floor of the hospital.

A 60-year-old patient at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, reportedly committed suicide today by jumping from the fifth floor of the hospital.

According to the police, the victim has been identified as Bhupinder Singh, a resident of Zirakpur.

Sources said the victim was admitted to the hospital in the morning after he received an electric shock.  

The police said in the afternoon, the victim reportedly jumped from the fifth floor. The victim was rushed to Emergency. However, he could not be saved. 

The police said the reason behind the suicide was yet to be established.
