Chandigarh, June 16

A city-based advocate has filed a complaint with the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) against rehiring of former chief sanitary inspector (CSI) two months after his retirement through outsourcing by giving him promotion as health supervisor in the Municipal Corporation.

Alleging ulterior motive of the higher authorities behind his appointment on a contract basis, the complainant Lalit Kumar Yadav, has sought an independent probe into the matter.

He said he had complained to the authorities here earlier, but no action was taken in this regard.

As per records, Ramphal retired from the post of the CSI on January 31, 2017, having already availed extension of two years from the MC’s Medical Officer of Health wing. The department later hired him on March 3, 2017, through TDS Management Consultant (P) Ltd,  on a promoted post of health supervisor.
