The three-day Jammu and Kashmir festival, organised by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Patiala, and the Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi (CSNA), concluded with a meaningful Hindi play ,‘Final Solutions’, by Samooh Theatre group from Jammu at Tagore Theatre here on Friday.

Written by acclaimed English playwright Mahesh Dattani and directed by Ravinder Sharma, play’s potent theme debated the sensitive issue of communalism and hatred which ails the psyche of dominant and minority communities in the Valley. Ravinder Sharma had structured the play in a curfew-bound area wherein two Muslim boys, anticipating loss of life in riots, seek refuge from a Hindu family.

Dr Saubhagya Vardhan, Director of the North Zone Cultural Centre, and Kamal Arora, Chairman of the Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi , expressed gratitude to the performing artistes and chief guest Navdeep Kaur, Head, Panjab University Indian Theatre Department.
