PPT presentation on festivals

Patiala: To make tiny tots understand the importance of festivals in life, a PowerPoint (PPT) presentation was shown to them at Ryan International School. The children were made aware of different festivals such as Diwali, Dasehra, Christmas and Holi and their significance in people’s life. They enjoyed the programme as they understood rituals of each festival and developed a liking for various festivals and celebrations. OC

Diwali celebrated

Patiala: Radcliffe School, Patiala, celebrated Diwali with high spirit. Students delivered speeches and recited poems on the life of Lord Rama. They presented an act showing how to celebrate the festival in an eco-friendly way. An awreness rally was also organised. They distributed diyas among people. While rangoli-making, diya decoration and story-telling competitions were also held. OC

‘Rishi Nirwan Diwas’ observed

Patiala: To pay tributes and gratitude to Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the founder of the Arya Samaj and a great social reformer, DAV Public School, Patiala, observed ‘134th Rishi Nirwan Diwas’. A hawan yajna was conducted with the enchanting of Vedic mantras in which principal SR Prabhakar along with the teaching staff and students took part. The principal conveyed a message to follow the mission and vision of this great saint who brought people back to Vedas and to work towards his contributions of promoting equal rights of women and universal brotherhood through nobility. He also told the students to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali. OC
