As rain is expected to lash the city for the third consecutive day tomorrow, these showers are due to western disturbances and moisture present in the ground. The MET Department has informed that pre-monsoon showers will hit the city most likely on the weekend and monsoon will reach the city by June 28 or 29.

In the last 48 hours, 46.3 mm rain poured over the city and rain is ‘very likely’ on Wednesday as well. The maximum temperature today was 31.6°C which is six degrees below normal. The minimum temperature was 24.9°C. Temperature is expected to remain in the same range over the next three days. However, humidity levels in the city are up as the maximum relative humidity was 84 per cent. It is expected to remain this way and cause perspiration as the maximum temperature will stay above 30°C.
