Prof Karamjeet of UBS wins laurels

CHANDIGARH: Prof Karamjeet Singh, University Business School, Panjab University (PU), was selected for Best Business Academic of the Year (BBAY) Award-2017 and got a silver medal at the 70th All-India Commerce Conference held at IIS University, Jaipur, on October 12-14.

Prof Karamjeet Singh, University Business School, Panjab University (PU), was selected for Best Business Academic of the Year (BBAY) Award-2017 and got a silver medal at the 70th All-India Commerce Conference held at IIS University, Jaipur, on October 12-14.

He was awarded on the basis of his research contribution. Over 1,500 research papers were received for three technical sessions and one seminar in the All-India Commerce Conference. The BBAY Award is given to the researcher after following methodology of six months period of evaluation and reviewing by the experts in the area of commerce and management, comprising four-stage process. In the first stage, papers were evaluated and divided into four categories. At the second stage, two best papers were shortlisted from each session on the basis of presentation made by the author and cross questioning by the experts and other researchers. At the third stage, authors of all the 10 best papers were required to explain the policy implications of the paper and then in the last stage, after a review of experts consisting of former vice-chancellors and another renowned expert in the area of management, the BBAY Award was bestowed on the author.
