Patiala: Asian Educational Institute released its prospectus and launched a free transportation scheme for Patiala students. Tarsem Saini, chairman of the college, said in a short span of seven years, the college has achieved new heights academically. The college has 1,400 students. Director-cum-principal MS Pabla highlighted that the college management had initiated various schemes like free education and transportation for girls with 85 per cent marks in Class XII, free transportation for students with 80 per cent marks in qualifying exams. behave as 'Dalits-haves’. 


Students shine in Scholar's Cup

Six students of Ryan International School took part in the World Scholar's Cup – 2017 at Learning Paths School, Mohali. Junior division students Trisha, Manseerat and Ekamjot and senior division students Simran Dhindsa, Aenika and Kushagra participated in four major events. Both teams bagged 22 medals, including three golds and 19 silvers. Both teams qualified for three global rounds to be held in Hanoi, Athens and Cape Town. School principal Pooja Sharma appreciated the hard work of students and congratulated them on their success. 


House nights

Performances by students of Teresa and Tolstoy houses left everyone spell bound during the second and the third day of the house nights, hosted by The British Co-Ed High School, Patiala, at the Harpal Tiwana Centre for Performing Arts. Teresa House staged, “Pygmalion", a love story with brusque diffidence and a wealth of humour that talked about women’s independence. Tolstoy House staged the political comedy, “The Heartbreak House". A Hindi street play was staged on the theme of demonetisation. The Punjabi play, “Chhunkaar”, by Gurnaam Singh Teer portrayed beliefs and superstitious practised in our society and the "Gwaachda Bachpan” by Kartar Singh Duggal highlighted as to how children were drifting away from studies and outdoor games while indulging in electronic gadgets.Teresa House also presented classical and contemporary dances. Tolstoy House in turn showcased classical and Jabba Wockeez Dances. TNS
