Punjab minister visits author at hospital

MOHALI: The Punjab Health Minister, Brahm Mohindra, visited at Fortis Hospital to meet noted author, litterateur and playwright Prof Ajmer Aulakh (75), who has been under treatment here for the past few days.

Mohali, May 22

The Punjab Health Minister, Brahm Mohindra, visited at Fortis Hospital to meet noted author, litterateur and playwright Prof Ajmer Aulakh (75), who has been under treatment here for the past few days.

Accompanied by senior district functionaries, including Mohali Deputy Commissioner GS Sapra, he visited the hospital where the Health Minister told the family of Aulakh that there was no need for them to bear the medical expenses of the author from now onwards. Talking to mediapersons, Brahm Mohindra said Captain Amarinder Singh’s government had already given Rs two lakh for Aulakh’s treatment, who was an asset of the state and the nation as well.

The Minister also met Aulakh’s wife Manjit Kaur Aulakh at the hospital. “His (Aulakh) condition has improved drastically”, said Brahm Mohindra.
