Bihar hold Manipur

Manipur Hockey, meanwhile, played a 2-2 draw with Hockey Bihar in a Pool B match. Manipur took the lead in the 26th minute, after Ibungo Singh Konjengbam scored from the spot.

The side managed to hold on to the lead in the first half, but Hockey Bihar drew parity after the break as Vaibhav Mishra sounded the wooden plank in the 42nd minute of the game.

Amarjit Singh Waribam put Manipur in lead again in the 55th minute with a well struck goal. However, a resilient Bihar side fought back to level the scores 11 minutes later through Martin Tuti to split the points.

Buoyed by Uttam Singh’s hat-trick, Uttar Pradesh Hockey drubbed Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu 10-0 in another Pool B match today.
