Sanjay & Smitha win jeep rally

CHANDIGARH:Sanjay Aggarwal and Smitha Prasad clocked 2 hours, 53 minutes, 6 seconds to finish first in the 4-WD jeep category on the concluding day of the sub-Himalayan St John's Old Boys' Association (SJOBA) Rally on Sunday.

Chandigarh, April 16 

Sanjay Aggarwal and Smitha Prasad clocked 2 hours, 53 minutes, 6 seconds to finish first in the 4-WD jeep category on the concluding day of the sub-Himalayan St John's Old Boys' Association (SJOBA) Rally on Sunday. 

The team of AVS Gill and Diwakar Kalia claimed the second spot in 2:54:20, while Sanjay Razdan and Karan Aukta clocked 3:00:51 to claim the third position. In the 2-WD cars category, Sanjay Sikand and Amber Udasi claimed the top position in 3:03:10, followed by Aditya Thakur and Aseema Sharma in the second position in 3:03:22. The duo of Sahil Khanna and Rajit Kadian ended its campaign in the third spot after completing the race in 3:07:14.In the overall motorbikes category, Mohit Thakur clocked 3:08:06 to claim the pole position. Vishwas SD finished second in 3:09:58, whereas Umang Saxena claimed the third position in 3:10:24. 

The pair of Sunny Kumar and Dheeraj Arora won the first position in Time, Speed, Distance (TSD) event. Manish Chaturvedi and Manish Vohra finished second while Gagan Mehta and Akhil Chaturvedi claimed the third position.—TNS
