Chandigarh, May 16

While the city woke up to a light drizzle with scattered showers in some areas, the temperature has stayed at the 40 degree mark. While the weather was pleasant in the morning, once the sun came out, it was the same as previous days. The drizzle only led to an increase in humidity with the relative humidity at 49 per cent.

The Met Department has predicted light thundershowers over the next few days. It remains to be seen whether or not residents will get relief from the scorching heat. The maximum temperature today was 40 degree Celsius while the minimum was 28.1degree Celsius. The residents are hoping light showers will bring relief. TNS
