Dengue patients continue to pour in at the local Civil Hospital. Seven new cases have been reported at the hospital in the past 48 hours. According to Health Department officials, till last week, the number of dengue patients was recorded at 50, which has now increased to 130.
Senior Medical Officer Dr Dalbir Kaur said fogging was being done on a regular basis. She said the Health Department, in association with MC officials, was distributing pamphlets to create awareness among people. She said the situation was under control and there was no reason to panic.
Meanwhile, Forest Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot visited dengue patients at the Civil hospital.
