Chandigarh: Class 1 students of Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School 40-D, Chandigarh, participated in a show and tell activity. Participants Shlok, Ananya, Muskan, Harshit, Shreya, Saurya, Gurleen and Garvit took part in it enthusiastically. Their main topics were fruit toy, cartoon character, bird and earth. By this activity, children told the importance of trees, water and air for living beings. Principal Archna and director BS Kanwar appreciated the efforts of the students. 

Annual day

Chandigarh: CL Aggarwal DAV Model School, Chandigarh, celebrated their annual day ‘Aaghaaz’ at the Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. A colourful dance bonanza  was staged by the students as they started with Punjabi dance, spreading the happiness in the surroundings followed by a religious performance, hip-hop, women empowerment and a skit based on child labour. Principal Sunita Ranyal read the annual school report. It culminated with the vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

Magical moments

Panchkula: Students of The British School, Panchkula, mesmerised the audience as they presented its 12th annual day, ‘Magical Moments’, at Indradhanush Auditorium in Sector 5 here. The function commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the guest of honour, Rajesh Jogpal, HCS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Panchkula, along with the chairperson of the school, Urmila Sethi; directors Sanjay Sethi and Geetika Sethi, Principal, Anita Mehra, and Administrator, Sushma Gupta. School principal Anita Mehra welcomed the audience while director Geetika Sethi read out the annual report, highlighting the students’ academic, cultural and sports achievements. It was followed by prize distribution.

Athletics meet

Chandigarh: The junior wing annual Athletics Meet of  Learning Paths School, Mohali, being held at Sports Complex, Sector 7,  Chandigarh, concluded. In the 400m race (boys) Gunmeeth  won the first position, while Shagunpreet Kaur bagged the first position  in girls category. In the 100m race (boys), Ajayteshwar Singh bagged the first position, while Seerat Kaur, won the first spot in the girls category. In the 400m relay race (boys), 

Yuvraj Sandliyan, Aarav Singh Sidhu, Samrath Singh and Tanveer Jawandha won the first position, while in the girls category  Jasamol Kaur, Namya Bhandari, Dhariti Garg, Shreya Garg bagged the first  position. TNS

Abhilashayein

Chandigarh: CRB Public School, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh, celebrated its annual function ‘Abhilashayein’ at Tagore Theatre. The ceremonial function began with a vandana dedicated to Lord Shiva. Tiny-tots through their performance ‘Bapu Sehat Ke Liye’ and ‘Atta majji satakli’ showcased their talent. Western dances were presented. A patriotic play by Class V and a play on pollution spread awareness. The show involved the students in a spectacular performance of bhangra, dandiya and malhari. Later, the annual school report read by Principal Sangeeta Mittal brought forth achievements of the students.
