Chandigarh, February 17 

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, finished on top in the Special Olympics, organised by the Chandigarh Chapter at the Sector 7 Sports Complex here today.

SOREM, Sector 36, bagged the second position, while Sadhana Vocational Centre grabbed the third spot.

On the concluding day, Shivani of Bhavan Vidhyalaya clinched the 200m title in the girls’ category. She was followed by SOREM’s Nainsee Ananad in second place, while Diksha from GRIID bagged the third position.  

In the boys’ 200m dash, Mani Singh of SOREM claimed the top spot, while Manpreet Singh, also from SOREM, finished second. Mahaveer of GRIID ended in third place.  

Jasmine Kaur of SOREM won the title in the girls’ 100m walk. Aneesha Nayyar and Neha Mani claimed the second and third positions respectively.

Shankar of GRIID dominated the field in the boys’ category. He was followed by Mohit Kumar of Sadhana Vocational Centre in second place, while Hemant of GRIID bagged the third spot.

In the softball throw, Surbhi Nikam, Mannat and Mehak Singh, all from Asha, won the top-three positions respectively.
