A taxi driver of Jind district has been arrested for sodomising a 16-year-old boy from Jammu and Kashmir. A first information report (FIR) has been registered in this regard at the Sector 14 police station in Panchkula.

As per the complaint, driver Dharamvir, a resident of Jind in Haryana, picked a minor boy from Jammu on the pretext of dropping him to his uncle near Jammu.

During the journey, Dharamvir offered him drug-laced cold drink and when he woke up, he was in Delhi. They stayed there for around one month.

The complainant further alleged that later the driver took him to Chandigarh and they started residing in Sector 15, Panchkula. On the night intervening February 14 and 15, the accused had unnatural sex with the victim. The next morning, the accused again tried unnatural sex but the boy ran away from the house.

After some time, he met a passerby and told him the entire story. The minor boy contacted his parents in Jammu and Kashmir and a complaint was also lodged with the police.

A senior police official said after the medical examination, they had lodged a first information report under Section 377 of the Indian penal Code and Section ¾ of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 against Dharamvir.
