Candidates of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (2013 passed batch) protested again today and closed the gates of Shiksha Sadan, Sector 5, this evening.

The protestors gathered outside Shiksha Sadan, minutes before 5 pm, the closing time of office. They blocked two gates of the building, forcing employees to jump the wall and leaving behind their vehicles inside the building.  Some of the employees even booked web based taxis to go their homes. Later the protestors even blocked the Sector 2-5 dividing road. But thereafter the police used mild lathicharge on the protestors and opened the road. The police took them to Sector 5 police station.  The candidates have been protesting for over two months to get their appointment letters. The union members informed that they are protesting against the Haryana Government for not issuing them the joining letters despite promises in the past. —TNS
