Two thieves arrested

CHANDIGARH:The Crime Branch of the UT police has arrested two persons who were involved in several cases of vehicle and house theft.



Chandigarh, December 12

The Crime Branch of the UT police has arrested two persons who were involved in several cases of vehicle and house theft. With their arrest, the Crime Branch claimed to have solved 11 cases. Out of this, eight cases are of vehicle theft and three are of house theft.

According to the police, Sanjeev, alias Sanju, was arrested on a tip-off from near the powerhouse building at Kishangarh. Five stolen two-wheelers had been recovered from him. Two cases of the Sector 17 police station and one case each of Sector 11, IT Park and Mani Majra police stations have been solved.

Another accused, identified as Ranjit Kumar, a resident of Dhakoli, Zirakpur, was arrested from near Motor Market, Dadu Majra Colony.

The police said Kumar’s arrest led to solving of three cases of two-wheeler theft and three cases of house theft.

According to the police, both accused had been arrested earlier in cases of burglary and house theft. — TNS
