Two vehicle thieves arrested

CHANDIGARH:The police have recovered eight stolen two-wheelers on the revelation of two vehicle lifters they arrested on Friday.

Chandigarh, October 15 

The police have recovered eight stolen two-wheelers on the revelation of two vehicle lifters they arrested on Friday. The accused have been identified as Vijay (24) and Panna Lal (19), both residents of Sector 25.

DSP (Central) Ram Gopal said on a tip-off, they laid a naka near the rally ground in Sector 25 and nabbed the accused while riding a stolen scooter bearing a fake registration number.  A case was registered against them at the Sector 11 police station.

“The accused were produced in court, which sent them to one-day police remand. On their disclosure, we recovered seven more two-wheelers that they had lifted,” a police official said.

Six of the vehicles recovered are motorcycles and two scooters. — TNS
