Terming the visit of BJP national president Amit Shah a flop show, Congress leaders said the BJP had misused the official machinery and all rules and the regulations were broken during his visit.
Congress president Pardeep Chhabra in a statement issued today said while the common man were imposed with heavy penalties and faced harassment at the hands of officials if they put up a single banner inadvertently without permission, the same MC office turned a blind eye to the flagrant violations of law.
The other Congress leaders said BJP councillors ensured that no officer interfered in the arrangements made for the BJP chief. Leaders said the show exposed the double standards of the party.
