Mohali, February 14
The police today arrested a youth for stalking a 21-year-old woman in Phase XI here.
The accused has been identified as 27-year-old Rajan. The victim, a native of Ludhiana, lives in a rented accommodation in Phase XI.
The complainant alleged that the youth had been stalking her for the past few days and despite her repeated denials, harassed her. The victim said when she was going for her computer course in Phase XI today, the accused followed her in his Maruti Zen car and allegedly misbehaved with her.
The accused has been booked under Sections 354 D (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
One held for eve-teasing
Chandigarh: The police have arrested a Ram Darbar Phase-II resident, identified as Pritam, for eve-teasing and threatening a woman. The incident took place on February 12. — TNS
