Some unidentified thieves broke into a Gurdwara in Ambedkar Nagar, southeast Delhi, and decamped with cash and some jewellery donated by the devotees to the Gurdwara last night, said a police official today.

The thieves first broke the CCTV camera installed at the premises and then took away the DVR and LED. The Ambedkar Nagar Police has registered a case regarding it.

Manohar Singh, secretary of the Gurdwara committee, said, “We left the Gurdwara by 10 pm locking all the doors and the main gate, but the thieves broke open that too. There was huge cash and gold and silver jewellery in the donation box.”

It is a blind case because the thieves have broken the CCTV camera and taken away the DVR too, said the official.
