Braid cutting incidents on the wane

NEW DELHI:The incidents of braid cutting which created an unsafe environment in the city have come down.

The incidents of braid cutting which created an unsafe environment in the city have come down. The police from the first day believed that these were rumours and  being spread by some unsocial elements.

Due to rumours the police had to face problems in determining the criminals behind the incidents. But now the police have taken stern step. A police official said the person found spreading such rumours will be dealt strictly and legal action will be taken.

According to the police, the braid cutting incidents have certainly come down as earlier every day police received 10 to 12 calls, which now have reduced to 2-3 calls in a day.

But in many cases there were mere rumours due to which a fear had been pervasive in society. People have stopped stepping outside.
