DSGMC poll list may be finalised by monthend

The Directorate of Gurdwara Elections has deployed its staff to prepare the electoral list for the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) elections. The list is likely to be completed by the end of this month.

Sources said that the Directorate is busy in completing the list but it is being delayed due to shortage of staff. The department has deployed its staff members in gurdwaras for adding new names and deleting the names of those who have expired and others who have changed their residences.

The DSGMC president Manjit Singh (GK) said that government failed to complete the list of electorate. It should have been finalised so far because election was due in January-end. Now it cannot happen on time.
