Fake Railway cop held with drugs worth Rs 18L

New Delhi, December 6

The Delhi Police has arrested Atal Kumar Dubey and seized 18 kg of marijuana from his possession in the New Delhi Railway Station, said a police official today.

Police officials found a person with an iron box  in the railway station.

On enquiry he started misleading the police. His box was searched which had marijuana in it, the official said.

The value of the recovered contraband in the international market is Rs 18 lakh (approx), the official added.

The accused said whenever he found drug traffickers he used to pose as a sub-inspector of the GRP and seize their consignment. After extorting money, he used to leave them but retain their contraband.
