New Delhi, December 10

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today promised that his government will lay water pipelines, build sewerage system and roads in all unauthorised colonies of the Capital in the next two years.

Kejriwal lashed out at the rival BJP and the Congress accusing them of doing "vote-bank" politics and giving excuse of inadequacy of funds for unfinished development projects before elections.

"Feel ashamed about what the parties (Congress and the BJP) have done over the past 70 years for the unauthorised colonies in the capital. Till date all parties have only done politics with them.... We have prepared the blueprint for various development projects in all unauthorised colonies in the city and in the next two years we will lay sewerage system and construct roads in all such colonies across the city," the Chief Minister was addressing people after inaugurating around 250 development projects in unauthorised colonies across the Mundka Assembly constituency this evening.

Noting that the AAP government has no dearth of funds, Kejriwal alleged the Congress and the BJP has only cheated people in the past. He said his government has saved money in several projects unlike the previous governments which projected the government to be running in deficit.

He said his government over the past three years has laid down pipelines in nearly 309 colonies while the Congress had provided water connections in 35 colonies in 15 years.
