Man arrested in triple murder case

NEW DELHI:The police have arrested one notorious criminal, known as Kaptan, a native of Haryana, wanted in a triple murder case in Karnal, Haryana, said a police official.

The police have arrested one notorious criminal, known as Kaptan, a native of Haryana, wanted in a triple murder case in Karnal, Haryana, said a police official.

He is involved in nine cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, extortion and attack on police personnel. One pistol of .32 bore with three live cartridges have been seized from his possession. A reward of Rs 1 lakh has been declared on him, said the official.

Acting on a tip off, the police laid a trap and arretsed him from GTK bypass.

Accordingly, a case under the Arms Act was registered at the Lodhi Colony Police Station and further investigation is in progress. The Karnal Police have been informed about the matter, said the DCP, Special Cell, Delhi.
