Man commits suicide at Metro station

NEW DELHI:A 45-year-old man today allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at Shahdara Metro station.

New Delhi, February 16

A 45-year-old man today allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at Shahdara Metro station. Officials said the incident was reported in the afternoon when a man identified as Manoj K Verma allegedly jumped before the train going towards Rithala at platform number 1. He died on the spot.

Soon after the incident, CISF and Delhi Metro personnel reached the spot. Police are trying to ascertain why Verma took the extreme step. Metro operations were resumed after 15 minutes.
