The three-day International Kite Festival organised by Delhi Tourism is witnessing a good participation from professional kite fliers both from India and abroad.

On the second day of the festival, which was inaugurated on Dwarka DDA Ground by Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra, it was a visitors’ delight due to varieties of colourful kites on display and participants showcasing spell-binding skills at the site.

International kite flyers from Germany, Korea, the US, China, Thailand, Ukraine, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, the Netherlands and Malaysia participated and demonstrated their talent during the fourth Delhi International Kite Festival.

On the first day of the festival while a kite trail of nearly 150 kites and night kite flying were the highlights, there were expert kite flyers from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Jaipur, Chennai, Kerala, Punjab and Delhi who displayed their skills.

During a special demonstration, professional kite flyers demonstrated the art of kite-making. Also mehndi artists, candy floss makers, biscope machines, caricature artists, tattoo artist, balloon artist, etc. captivated the visitors.

As per the organisers, the third day of the festival is going to be interesting with programmes, including magic show, painting competition for children, kite making demonstration, night kite flying, kite trail, cultural music performance by Malini Avasthi of Maithali Academy, among others, lined up.
