New Delhi, February 15
Upping the ante against North Delhi Municipal Corporation mayor Preety Aggarwal, the AAP today demanded her to be sacked by the BJP on the basis of what the party called “clinching evidence” purportedly showing her hand in “wrongdoings” in tendering process of the civic body.
However, the mayor, who has faced with a vigilance inquiry following Lt Governor’s orders, refuted all allegations accusing AAP spokesperson Dilip Pandey and the AAP of targeting her to deflect attention from the graft charges against health minister Satyendar Jain.
Addressing a press conference, Pandey attacked the BJP too claiming there is no name as big a synonym of scam, as the BJP, in the country. He said a senior officer has highlighted the issue in a letter to the municipal commissioner and asked that an FIR be lodged against Aggarwal for “interfering in the evaluation of bidding to benefit a particular company”.
