The outgoing general secretary of the DSGMC and Shiromani Akali Dal Badal candidate from Punjabi Bagh ward, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that his party was committed to the Sikh religion and would work for its uplift. This is clear from the party manifesto released today.

He said keeping in view the sentiments of the community, the SAD Badal has selected the issues to be done in Delhi if the party is given chance to work in the DSGMC.

He said, “Our priority would be to open a Sikh university in memory of Guru Teg Bahadur. The parties contesting against us do not have any road map for education programmes and for improvement of existing schools and colleges. The SAD Badal is committed to providing facilities to the community children so that they can compete children of majority community in the competitive exams and other fields.”

He said, “We have included the majority of the suggestions given by community members in the party manifesto. These suggestions and assurances will be fulfilled in four years if his party is voted to power.”

Sirsa said that leadership of the SAD Badal has positive thoughts for community service. This has been proved by the work done by the DSGMC during the last four years.
