Two held for murder of Nasirpur youth

The police have cracked a blind murder case of a youth and arrested two hired killers, Ravi Kumar (20) and Sughad (21), both natives of Uttar Pradesh, in this connection, said a police official.

On August 9, the body of a youth was found behind Nasirpur Sabji Mandi, Sagarpur. The deceased had been identified as Anil Kumar, a resident of Mundka, on the basis of the documents recovered the victim. There was no eyewitness. n tbhis Efforts commenced immediately to solve the case but to no avail as there were no eye-witnesses.

The police interrogated several persons and investigated CCTV footages of various public and private cameras.

During investigation the police came to know that Amit Kumar was the conspirator of the murder. He has hired Ravi Kumar and Sughad for this job.

On August 12, around 11 pm Ravi Kumar and Sughad would meet Amit Kumar in Nasirpur. The police laid a trap and arrested Ravi Kumar and Sughad, said DCP, Southwest District.

However, Amit Kumar is still at large. Both the accused have confessed to their involvement in the crime. Weapon of offence, a knife, and victim’s mobile phone were recovered from the accused. The clothes worn by the accused at the time of committing the crime have also been recovered, added the DCP.
