Blood donation camp held

Jalandhar: The Red Ribbon Society, NSS Wing and Red Cross Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with NGO Pahal on the occasion of Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.



Jalandhar, March 23

The Red Ribbon Society, NSS Wing and Red Cross Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with NGO Pahal on the occasion of Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Prof Lakhbir Singh, president, NGO Pahal, Dr Gagandeep Singh, BTO, Civil Hospital, Jalandhar and Sudeep Dhillon, councillor, Civil Hospital blood bank, were also present. Principal Ajay Sareen inaugurated the camp and also donated blood. A one-week “Haem-up” campaign was also started at HMV from March 15 to March 20 in which 760 students and staff got their haemoglobin and blood group check-up done. In the camp, nearly 70 students donated their blood.  Deepshikha, in-charge, Red Cross Society; Kuljit Kaur, in-charge NSS and Red Ribbon Society, Gagandeep, Dr Santosh Khanna, medical officer Dr Aarti were present. —TNS
