BSF hailed at Raising Day celebrations

JALANDHAR: Officers of the police and civil administration of Jalandhar district joined their counterparts of Border Security Force (BSF) to celebrate the Raising Day of this premier paramilitary force, which was founded on December 1, 1965.

Officers of the police and civil administration of Jalandhar district joined their counterparts of Border Security Force (BSF) to celebrate the Raising Day of this premier paramilitary force, which was founded on December 1, 1965.

In a function held at the Frontier Headquarters of BSF here late last night, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police (CP) Praveen Kumar Sinha, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhupinder Pal Singh, Senior Technical Manager of NIC Amolak Singh Kalsi and others complimented the BSF IG Mukul Goel on this occasion.

Lauding the stellar role of the BSF in safeguarding the borders of the country and in other peace time activities, they said that this premier paramilitary force had a long and glorious track record of serving the nation. They said the exemplary courage and bravery shown by officers and jawans of the BSF from time to time to uphold the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country hardly finds any parallel.
