Jalandhar, June 26

The Border Security Force (BSF) today observed International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

A cycle rally, comprising 74 BSF personnel, led by KN Rai, Deputy Commandant, Punjab Frontier, was flagged off by Sanjeev Bhanot, DIG.

The rally started at 6.45 am and followed route from Ashwini Stadium, BSF Campus, Jalandhar, BSF Chowk, Ladowali Road, BMC Chowk, Guru Nanak Mission Chowk and culminated at Frontier Headquarters, BSF Jalandhar, via Defence Colony.

The rally was aimed at spreading the message of utmost dedication to national security, awareness against drugs and illicit trafficking amongst residents, particularly among the youths. Similar rallies and related programmes were held by the BSF at Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Amarkot border areas.
