Two foreign students had a miraculous escape after the car they were travelling in caught fire today. The students were not identified, as they fled from the spot after the incident.

Sources said the mishap occurred in the afternoon. The moment they reached the Rama Mandi flyover, suddenly smoke started billowing out from the engine of their Maruti car.

“When the car caught fire, the students came out of the car and fled from the spot,” an eye-witness said.

The Rama Mandi police said they were inquiring the ownership details of the car. The police said the mystery behind the fire incident would be solved only when the youths were traced. — TNS
