Car stolen

Phagwara: A Balero car (No. PB-08B-4598) was found stolen from in front of a house in Green Avenue here on Friday. The driver Rajesh Kumar of Hoshiarpur said he had gone to meet some person known to him. When he returned to the place, he found the car stolen. The police have registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC and are investigating the case. OC

Shanta Kumar confident of win

Phagwara: BJP senior leader and MP Shanta Kumar on Friday said the Congress would be defeated in the next Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections to be held on November 9. Talking about factionalism, Shanta Kumar said the BJP was united and all set to contest the elections. He said the party high command would decide the name of the next Chief Minister. He, however, said the party would give maximum tickets to youngsters and women. The BJP MP said winning ability would be the lone criteria for the allotment of tickets. OC
